What are the components of your wax blend?

Our candle wax blend is a custom formulation, meticulously crafted from natural soy and coconut waxes, with minor additions of paraffin wax and 100% beeswax.

 

Is it common for some wax to remain on the sides of the jar during the early stages of burning?

To promote even burning and reduce tunneling, keep the following tips in mind:

  • Start by burning your candle for at least 4 hours during its initial use. This crucial step establishes a "memory" for the candle, ensuring consistent burning in subsequent uses.
  • Extend the duration of each burn session to allow the wax pool to reach the edges of the container whenever possible. This practice helps prevent tunneling and promotes an even burn throughout the candle's lifespan.
  • Trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before lighting each time. This prevents soot buildup and maintains a steady flame, contributing to a cleaner and more efficient burn.
  • Place your candle away from drafty areas or spots with strong air currents. Drafts can disrupt the burning process and lead to uneven melting.
  • As the wax level decreases and reaches the middle of the jar, any built-up wax will naturally slide down without causing the wick to bend or become misshapen.

By following these recommendations, you can effectively minimize excessive wax residue and experience a consistently efficient burn with your candle.

How long does it take to process orders?

Upon placing an order, please allow 1-3 business days for processing. We strive to expedite order fulfillment as efficiently as possible. Our shipping schedule operates Monday through Friday, and occasionally on Saturdays, particularly during holiday weekends. Processing times may vary during special sales events or the fall and winter holiday seasons.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

After placing your order, we make every effort to process it promptly. Regrettably, once items have been shipped, we are unable to accommodate any changes, including address adjustments, item modifications, or cancellation requests, as the package is already in transit.

Should you need to alter your shipping address, we advise contacting the shipping carrier directly to update your details or arrange for delivery to a nearby access point or local pick-up location. Please be aware that Alvatorre Creative cannot be held liable for lost packages due to incorrect shipping addresses. Thank you for your understanding!

 

Does your shipping service operate every day of the week, including weekends?

Typically, our service operates from Monday through Friday, with occasional operations on Saturdays, particularly during extended holiday weekends. However, we exercise discretion in this matter. During periods of hot temperatures or extreme heat forecasts, we endeavor to restrict shipping to earlier days in the week. This precaution is taken to prevent candles from being exposed to high temperatures while sitting in transit over the weekend. We advise customers to ensure someone is available to accept deliveries, especially during the summer months, to minimize the risk of candles being left on hot porches for extended periods.

Please be aware that ordering candles during warm months carries a risk of melting, and we cannot be held responsible for melted candles or other wax products. While we insure all shipments, melted wax is not covered by carriers such as FedEx, USPS or UPS.

To mitigate any potential issues, we offer the following suggestions:

  • The shipping carrier will furnish a tracking number to facilitate tracking the whereabouts of your items.
  • Consider having deliveries sent to a location where someone will be present, such as a friend or family member's house or your workplace if permitted.
  • If expecting a delivery to your home, plan to have someone available to receive it, or aim to bring the package indoors to a cool area as soon as possible to minimize exposure to heat.
  • As a courtesy, we strive to ship orders early in the week to reduce the likelihood of packages being held in warehouses or trucks over the weekend.
